Collectively Shifting adresses intersectionality; that is the ways our identities overlap in multiple areas of discrimination, and the way these intersecting relationaships can dhift dependinh on the context of time and location. We have numerous ways of identifying ourselves including but not limited to race, class, gender, sexuality, age, and (dis)ability–and we can encounter discrimination due to any one of these or from a combination. If we want social and political equity a and diversity we need to truly see each other, listen to each other, empathize with each other, and take action to support each other–even when we don't agree with each other.
