Annual Juried Show for the Women's Caucus for Art.

The artwork, “Run Away Brides”, alludes to being immersed in the circumstances life has dealt; but not becoming submerged into concession. The concept is artistically delineated by the creation of lace-like textures using incising techniques on clay board. The figural designs, which compose this “bridal lace”, emphasize the duality of strength and delicacy, simplicity and complexity, intellectual order and emotional impact. Thereby, this engulfing gossamer material references the constraints imposed by societal norms.

Out of the Shadows and Into the Box, in Maplewood NJ

Come into my Parlour

The wall box, “Come Into My Parlor”, references a childhood poem that begins with the phrase -"Come Into My Parlour" "Come into my parlor, said the spider to the fly.” The inference being that the invitation is an enticement that may well be as dangerous as it is beguiling. The inclusion of the aged photographs overlaid with a trapped figure further illustrate the concept.
